A little watercolor drip and wire word.
I’ve been thinking wire words will be a nice little edition to put in some of the pockets of the junk journals.

It was a beautiful day today so took advantage and did some outside work on the house.
Then I had low energy and couldn’t decide what I wanted to do for the creativity challenge so I started looking for an old music book I’ve been carrying around for years – no luck but came across the really old envelope addressed to my Grandma. Check out the natural aging on them!
Finally decided on old teabags for junk journal texture and ephemer!
I checked out a couple of Youtube videos this morning and they make the 3D pen look so easy!
Drawing flat isn’t so bad but trying to them to stand up is quite the challenge. I had a little bit of luck but not what you see on the internet.
I wonder what the tree of life would look better in a darker color then use a lighter greed for the leaves.
The feathers are cut out of blueberry stained paper…I’m falling asleep so I feel like it’s bedtme.
The 3DPen got busted out today and it is pretty cool! I used an outline to draw the feathers and tomorrow I’m going to do some research on YouTube to learn more about it – then the big decision of what else to make!
More tags in the works tonight – added messages and left the backs blank for a little journaling or quote space.
Today wwas my 57th Birthday and I was blessed to be able to spend it with my kiddos and grand kiddo!
My daughter saw this mug while we were in The Artful Hand at Orchard Park Mall in Kelowna and I loved it!
I thought it would look great on the glaring photo of Nia and since i only had time for a quick create today it was a perfect time to do it,
Would this be considered a meme?
Does it show my age that I don’t know? 🤔
The kids also gave me this skookum new 3D pen!! You can be sure that will be what I use in my pursuit of joyful creativity tomorrow!
DQ coupons in the mail today – perfect for little tags!
Loving these little envelopes – and inking around the edges makes all the difference.
Check out the YouTube video from The Paper Outpost – “How to make an envelope from a square paper with tab closure.” if you want to give them a try.
Four more collage tags for the junk journal project.
It took a lot of cutting and tearing before anything wanted to fit together tonight.
I decided it would be okay to just get some prep work done then all of a sudden a few pieces looked like they wanted to be paired up so, Yay! I got to play with the glue too!!
The “You & Me Mom” book was great – all round good images, paper and colors.
I also used a calendar, an old Christmas craft book and one of my favorites lately – a Greek sculpture book, which I noticed is a discard from the Calgary Public Library…meaning I’ve been carrying it around for 18 years or so! I knew it would come in handy 😏🙄
Finally got a little collage in tonight 🙂
All recycled materials – playing cards, calendars and old books. I used Mod Podge to glue everything down.
I’ll make a few more, add a little paint to tie everything together, punch the holes and add some yarn .
Finishing off the prep work for the school project – so much easier with my helper! 😂
