I like the way this is coming along!
And I’m a little nervous to add color to it.
I have a habit of wanting to use all the colors and it doesn’t always turn out the way I’d like.
But I’ll add a few more details then take a leap of faith and splash some color.

This has really been a joy to work on and I look forward to adding details and color.
Mandalas have been one of my faves for many years.
This one feels like an old friend I haven’t seen in ages but easily reconnected like it was yesterday.

Largest Mandala I’ve worked on in awhile.
Start with pencil, trace with micron then add the watercolor.
Taken at dawn on Sudbury beach in the beautiful Okanagan.
So easy to make photos more dramatic!
These were edited on Instagram and in my phone app.
Tested my different watercolor sets – and ended up with a little abstract too.
Days 74 to 77
I will make it to 100!
It’s the posting on multiple sites that adds to the challenge.
Follow through has also always been a challenge for me – at 75% complete I’m feeling determined though.
I’m already thinking of my next challenge – after Christmas I’m going to do a 30 day junk journal challenge!
Motivation to REALLY try my hand at JJ.
I’ll be adding more to this in the future.
I wanted to add “carrot people” but it looks more like an underwater scene.
I learned about carrot people from watching Bob Burridge on YouTube.
They were a lot of fun to do but it’s been a couple years since I painted the picture above. I might just add them into the most recent one.

Look at this fantastic deal I found at the thrift store!
I have been “trying” to stay away from purchasing more art supplies but couldn’t turn this down.
This kit has a copyright from 2003 and had never been opened.
I jumped right in and did the first exercise tonight – I’ve always loved finding shapes in designs so I think I’m going to really enjoy this!
What a cutie!! No real smashing took place – maybe too full from dinner or overwhelmed with all the festivities. The carrot cake was a hit though!
Sunday night I used a pigma graphic to outline this mandala.
I also got a new phone – Huawei P30 Pro…a bit of a learning curve! And having to sign in on all the apps is a real pain!
The camera is great, but I didn’t take any stills of the cake smash so I had to download an app to get the pictures above.
I used Video to Photo Frame Grabber.
It’s not a huge creative endeavor but I’m counting it for today.
