Only two colors!

It was difficult at first but once I got in the groove sticking to purple as the main color was fun.

I didn’t always get the look I was going for but really enjoyed the process!

I’m sharing a picture of the potato skin dinner since I can’t share the Christmas present I worked on yesterday.

They were delicious!

Triple baked – 1st the whole potato – 2nd the cut potatoes brushed with olive oil – 3rd with the toppings.

We used bacon, green peppers and cheese on half and taco meat, peppers and cheese on the other – So Good!

Yesterday I was able to get a couple of little birds sewn – there’s also a little Christmas present I was working on today but can’t share it yet.

Today I worked on the surprise and took a few photos of the frosty grass this morning.

I like how the grass looks with the Instagram photo editing.

I like the way this is coming along!

And I’m a little nervous to add color to it.

I have a habit of wanting to use all the colors and it doesn’t always turn out the way I’d like.

But I’ll add a few more details then take a leap of faith and splash some color.

Fingers crossed!

This has really been a joy to work on and I look forward to adding details and color.

Mandalas have been one of my faves for many years.

This one feels like an old friend I haven’t seen in ages but easily reconnected like it was yesterday.

Watercolor paper

Largest Mandala I’ve worked on in awhile.

Start with pencil, trace with micron then add the watercolor.

Taken at dawn on Sudbury beach in the beautiful Okanagan.

So easy to make photos more dramatic!

These were edited on Instagram and in my phone app.

Tested my different watercolor sets – and ended up with a little abstract too.

Days 74 to 77

I will make it to 100!

It’s the posting on multiple sites that adds to the challenge.

Follow through has also always been a challenge for me – at 75% complete I’m feeling determined though.

I’m already thinking of my next challenge – after Christmas I’m going to do a 30 day junk journal challenge!

Motivation to REALLY try my hand at JJ.
